Wheatgrass & Microgreens are baby plants with amazing nutrition and health benefits.
Wheatgrass is young wheat, that you juice and drink by the shot daily. It is a powerful superfood.
Microgreens are young edible plants, at around 2 weeks old, like micro broccoli, sunflower, pea, or radish. Besides being super nutritious, they have amazing flavors, colors, & textures. You can add them to salads, sandwiches, smoothies, or garnish any dish to make it gourmet.
If you are new to wheatgrass, try 21 frozen wheatgrass shots. Drink 1 or 2 a day. Also try the small microgreens containers of Sunflower or Broccoli – add them to salads or sandwiches. Our Brite Green Juice (frozen) is also a convenient option that tastes great and is powered by microgreens.
Once hooked on wheatgrass, you can decide to buy a wheatgrass juicer and juice yourself at home with 1-lb bags. Increase to at least 2 shots/day. Try eating a handful of microgreens every day – try all our varieties. Our Perfect Green Juice has even more microgreens in it.
Consider growing your own wheatgrass at home. Drink 4 oz of fresh wheatgrass juice a day (2 in the morning + 2 at night). Make microgreens the base of your diet – like a microgreens only salad for lunch. For a full guided experience and lifestyle transformation you can learn about our Reset Cleanse program.
Wheatgrass juice and microgreens are highly nutrient-dense foods. That means consuming just a little goes a long way, and that’s why we call them superfoods.
If you eat these superfoods regularly, you can experience some amazing health benefits like:
These baby greens are packed nutrients that only living plants have, called phytonutrients. Phytonutrients are often antioxidants and sometimes even anti-cancer (like sulforaphane – found in broccoli microgreens).
Not to mention, they are packed with nutrients you might be more familiar with, like vitamins, minerals, amino acids (that make protein), enzymes, and more.
When you consume these greens, your body has a chance to rest, heal, and repair itself. This means your entire body can see improvements in health.
Wheatgrass needs to be juiced since it has too much fiber to digest easily. Juicing wheatgras requires a slow, masticating type juicer. Juicers that spin fast or blenders just won’t work. Or you can try chewing wheatgrass like gum (just spit out the pulp).
Microgreens are really versatile and can be added to everything, like salads, sandwiches, smoothies, or used as a garnish. Adding them makes any dish feel gourmet.

Fresh greens can last 1-2 weeks. Some varieties last longer than others, like sunflower, pea, or wheatgrass. More delicate varieties, like broccoli or colormix, might last less than a week.
Keep all your fresh greens well refrigerated, but not frozen. This means 35-38F. (Put frozen juice only in the freezer – which can stay good for months).
It helps to add paper towel into your greens container to absorb moisture and keep them fresh longer.
If they smell ok and aren’t significantly discolored or mushy, then they should still be good to eat.
Gluten is a protein found in ungerminated wheat seeds used to make flour. When you sprout the seed and grow it into wheatgrass then it becomes GLUTEN FREE.
Therefore, wheatgrass juice does not contain gluten.
However, if you are severely sensitive to gluten, we recommend being cautious as it’s possible (but not likely) an ungerminated seed could have gotten into your juice.
Perfect Foods is USDA certified organic by Natural Food Certifiers.
That means we don’t use pesticides or chemicals in the farming of our greens. We also grow in living soil, filled with healthy microbes and nutrients.
This, of course, depends on what products you have ordered.
We usually recommend home users get precut greens as opposed to living trays. This is because all greens require refrigeration, even the trays, but trays take up much more space (11″x21″). You can, however, harvest your live tray on arrival and put the greens into bags or containers of your own to save fridge space.
50 Frozen Ounces takes up about a 1-gallon ziplock bag fully stuffed like a pillow in your freezer.
